Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets are characterised by thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns. These patterns are often abstract or depict animals and people. Typically made of wool, occasionally cotton or other materials, Gabbeh rugs come in sizes ranging from small mats to large carpets, suitable for any room in the house.
