Gabbeh, the Farsi word for "raw," describes rustic rugs that have been growing in popularity since the early 1990s. They offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs and are characterised by thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns. These rugs, mostly made of wool, sometimes cotton, range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
