Description
The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic carpet style. Since the early 1990s, Gabbeh carpets have become popular as a folksy alternative to traditional Persian carpets due to their relaxed character. They have a thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, sometimes abstract or figurative with animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also cotton variants. Gabbehs are available in various sizes and fit well in any room of the house.
