Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi and represent a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been a popular, relaxed alternative to formal Persian carpets. With thick pile, many colours and geometric and animal motifs – abstract or representational – they are usually made of wool. Gabbehs vary in size from small mats to large carpets and are suitable for any room in the house.
