Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Persian and embody a simple, rustic style. Popular since the early 1990s as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, they offer thick pile, diverse colours and bold patterns with geometric shapes or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool, occasionally cotton or other materials, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the home.
