Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Persian. Popular since the 1990s, they offer a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. They are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colour palette and bold geometric or animal patterns. These wool (sometimes cotton) rugs range from small mats to large area rugs, suitable for any living space. Gabbehs combine rustic beauty with precision craftsmanship, often featuring abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people.
