Description
Gabbeh rugs, knotted in Iran and India, denote a simple, rustic style; “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Persian. Popular since the early 1990s, they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. With a thick, luxurious pile and diverse colours, they feature bold geometric or animal patterns, often abstract or figurative. Mostly made of wool, occasionally cotton, they range in size from small mats to large rugs, suitable for any room in the house.
