Description
Gabbeh rugs are knotted in Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Persian and refers to simple, rustic rugs. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a relaxed, more folksy alternative to traditional Persian rugs. These rugs are characterised by thick, luxurious pile, a wide variety of colours and bold geometric and animal patterns. The designs are often abstract or figurative, frequently depicting animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. They are available in various sizes and fit into any room in the house.
