Description
Gabbeh rugs from Iran and India are known for their simplicity and rusticity. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their uncomplicated nature. Since the early 1990s, they have gained popularity as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and often cool, geometric or animal motifs. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs, suitable for any room in the house.
