Description
Gabbeh carpets, originating from Iran and India, are rustic knotted carpets. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Persian and refers to their simple, traditional style. Since the 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed, folk alternative to Persian carpets. These rugs have a thick pile, varied colours and often cool geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
