Description
Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted rugs from Iran and India. The term “gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their simple, rustic nature. Since the early 1990s, they have become popular as they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a wide variety of colour variations and often feature geometric or animal motifs. Made from wool on wool, they range in size from small mats to large carpets and fit well in any room of the house.
