Description
Gabbeh rugs from Iran and India are known for their simplicity and rusticity. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their characteristic, simple style. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colour schemes and cool geometric and animal motifs. Made from wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
