Description
Gabbeh rugs, knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Persian and embody a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have grown in popularity as a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian rugs. They offer a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and bold geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Made from wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the home. Gabbehs are known for their authenticity and artistic design, which lend a sense of warmth and character.
