Description
Loom Lori carpets, known as Gabbeh, are woven by hand in India. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic carpet. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed increasing popularity as a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, a wide range of colours and bold, geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or figurative, often featuring motifs of animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. They vary in size from small mats to large rugs and are suitable for any room, offering a charming addition to any interior style.
