Description
Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted rugs from Iran and India. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which often complement formal interiors. Gabbehs have a thick pile, diverse colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
