Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted products from Iran and India. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic carpet style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours. They feature cool, geometric and animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit perfectly into any room in the house.
