Obisson is a special type of kilim that was produced in France and Belgium in the 17th and 18th centuries. These rugs are characterised by their weaving technique and nail embroidery, and are mostly made of wool on wool with pictorial motifs. In the 1970s, the Obisson tradition was continued in China, where the design evolved further. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and new techniques creates unique, artistically designed rugs that combine both historical and modern elements.
