Description
Obisson, a type of kilim, was originally produced in France and Belgium in the 17th and 18th centuries. These rugs are characterised by their weaving technique and striking nail embroidery, usually on wool with pictorial motifs. In the 1970s, Obisson production also began in China. The modern versions preserve the traditional craftsmanship and present a unique blend of historical design and contemporary manufacturing.
