Obisson is a special type of kilim that was produced in France and Belgium in the 17th and 18th centuries. These carpets are characterised by their weaving technique and nail embroidery, often made of wool on wool and featuring pictorial motifs. In the 1970s, Obisson production was relocated to China, where traditional techniques continue to be practised. The charm of the historical patterns remains, but with a modern touch that gives the rugs a unique feel.
