Description
Gabbeh carpets, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi and are known for their simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been a popular, more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and cool geometric and animal motifs, whether abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
