Description
Loom Lori carpets, known as Gabbeh, are hand-woven in India on wide looms. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have been gaining popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, a diverse colour palette and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variations in cotton or other materials. Gabbehs are available in various sizes and are suitable for any room in the house, lending a folksy atmosphere and style.
