Description
Loom Lori carpets are hand-woven treasures from India. The term “Gabbeh” comes from Farsi and means “raw”, but describes an artistic and rustic type of carpet. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed increasing popularity as a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, which is available in a variety of vibrant colours and bold geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or figurative, often depicting animals or people. Made from wool, sometimes cotton or other materials, they range in size from small mats to large rugs suitable for any room. Gabbeh rugs embody both traditional craftsmanship and artistic expression.
