Description
Pakistani carpet production is mainly concentrated around Lahore and Karachi. After the war with India, many carpet weavers fled to Pakistan and established their art there. Today, hand-knotted Pakistani Bukhara carpets are particularly well known, similar to Afghan oriental carpets with dark colours, predominantly red. A characteristic octagonal pattern is typical of these carpets. They fit perfectly with current interior design trends and preferences, combining traditional craftsmanship with timeless design.
