Gabbeh, called "raw" in Farsi, are rustic rugs that have gained popularity since the early 1990s. They offer a relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and bold geometric patterns, often featuring abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. They range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the home.
