Description
Gabbeh, Persian for “raw”, are rustic rugs that have been growing in popularity since the early 1990s. They offer a more relaxed, folksy alternative to traditional Persian rugs. With thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns – abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people – they are usually made of wool, sometimes cotton. Gabbehs range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the house.
