Description
Most of Pakistan’s carpet production takes place in and around Lahore and Karachi. Many carpet weavers fled to Pakistan during the war with India and settled there. Hand-knotted Pakistan Bukhara carpets are particularly well known today. These resemble Afghan oriental carpets and are often in dark colours, mostly red. A characteristic feature is the repeating octagonal pattern. Thanks to their traditional designs and high-quality materials, these carpets can be perfectly combined with current trends and preferences in interior design.
