Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted treasures from Iran and India. The name means "raw" in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic style. Since the 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs are characterised by thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or figurative. Usually made of wool and available in various sizes, they fit into any room in the house and add a touch of luxury.
