Description
Gabbeh rugs, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi and are known for their simple, rustic style. Popular since the early 1990s, they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile and feature a variety of colours and cool geometric and animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and are suitable for any room in the house.
