Description
Gabbeh carpets, hand-knotted in Iran and India, are known for their simple, rustic style. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi. Since the early 1990s, they have been a more relaxed alternative to more formal Persian carpets. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and cool geometric or animal motifs, whether abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
