Description
Gabbeh carpets from Iran and India are known for their simplicity and rusticity. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their characteristic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and cool geometric and animal motifs. Usually made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and are suitable for any room in the house.
