Description
Gabbeh rugs from Iran and India are known for their rustic simplicity. The name ‘Gabbeh’ means ‘raw’ in Farsi. Since the 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which tend to suit more formal interiors. They are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colours and cool geometric or animal motifs. Usually made of wool, they range in size from small mats to large carpets and can be used in any room of the house.
