Description
Gabbeh means “raw” in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often depicting animals or people. They are usually made of wool, but sometimes also of cotton or other materials. Gabbeh rugs are available in various sizes, from small mats to large rugs, and fit into any room in the house.
