Description
Gabbeh, a Farsi word meaning “raw”, describes simple, rustic rugs. Popular since the early 1990s, they offer a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are known for their thick pile, diverse colours and bold, geometric patterns, often featuring abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variations in cotton or other materials. They range from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room.
