Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted in Iran and India. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic carpet style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which are often associated with formal interior design. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and feature cool, geometric and animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and are suitable for any room in the house.
