Description
Gabbeh rugs are hand-knotted rugs from Iran and India. The name “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes their simple, rustic style. Since the early 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile and a variety of colours. They often feature cool, geometric or animal motifs, either abstract or representational. Usually made of wool on wool, they vary in size from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the house.
