Gabbeh, which means "raw" in Farsi, are rustic rugs that have been popular since the 1990s. As a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, they go well with folk interior design. Gabbehs have thick pile, diverse colours and bold geometric patterns, often with abstract or figurative motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, they range from small mats to large area rugs, suitable for any area of the home.
