Description
Loom Lori carpets from India, known for their Gabbeh variants, are characterised by their rustic simplicity. The Farsi word “Gabbeh” means “raw” and describes the unadulterated nature of these carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets, which often appear more formal. Gabbeh carpets delight with their thick, luxurious pile and a range of colours and striking geometric designs, which can be both abstract and figurative, often depicting animals or people. They are mainly made of wool, occasionally also of cotton or other materials. Available in various sizes, from small mats to large carpets, their robust construction and artistic appeal make them suitable for any room in the home.
