Description
Gabbeh carpets, hand-knotted in Iran and India, mean “raw” in Farsi and represent a simple, rustic style. Popular since the early 1990s as a relaxed alternative to formal Persian carpets, Gabbehs offer a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and feature cool geometric or animal motifs, abstract or representational. Mostly made of wool on wool, they range from small mats to large carpets and fit into any room in the home.
