Gabbeh rugs from Iran and India are known for their rustic style, which is characterised by the Farsi term "Gabbeh" (translated as "raw"). Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs, which are often associated with formal interior design.
