Description
A Khorjin carpet is made from hand-spun sheep’s wool of the highest quality, which is mainly produced in Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. In these regions, the wool is still spun by hand using traditional methods before the actual knotting of the carpet begins. Over centuries, wool has proven itself to be a natural and extremely durable material. It is characterised by its dirt-repellent and heat-insulating properties, which make it particularly practical and long-lasting. Wool is also incomparably soft and gives the carpet a natural sheen. This combination of quality and tradition makes the Khorjin carpet a sought-after and valuable piece.
