Description
Gabbeh carpets are hand-knotted in Iran and India. “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a rustic carpet style. Since the 1990s, they have been popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs have a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and feature geometric and animal motifs, both abstract and figurative. They are usually made of wool on wool, vary in size from small mats to large carpets and are suitable for any room in the house.
