Description
Obisson, a special type of kilim, was produced in France and Belgium in the 17th and 18th centuries. These rugs are characterised by their weaving technique and frequent use of wool on wool, complemented by nail embroidery and pictorial motifs. In the 1970s, the Obisson tradition was transferred to China, where similar rugs were produced. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and regional patterns gives these rugs their unique charm and historical significance.
