Description
Najaf Abad, near the cultural city of Isfahan, is famous for its oriental carpets, which are characterised by similar patterns and colours to Isfahan carpets, but with slightly less fine details. Classic oriental carpets are hand-knotted unique pieces whose typical patterns are passed down from generation to generation. The origin influences the manufacturing method, material and motifs of the carpets. Persian carpets in particular, named after their city of origin, are characterised by their high quality, knot density and unique colour harmonies. Whether made of fine silk or soft sheep’s wool, oriental carpets lend every room a special atmosphere and reflect traditional designs.
