Description
This beautiful carpet is a Persian Lori Baff and is one of the finest Gabbeh carpets. It is woven by nomads or semi-nomads in Iran using traditional craftsmanship. The simple motifs and patterns are often inspired by the nomads’ immediate surroundings, such as depictions of camels, trees or bushes. Lori Baff carpets are made from fine wool from locally kept sheep, with the wool usually still spun by hand. Each carpet thus reflects the unique character of centuries-old culture. The combination of traditional production and cultural elements gives each carpet its special charm and authenticity.
