Description
This exquisite carpet is a Persian Lori Baff and is one of the finest Gabbeh carpets. It is woven by nomads or semi-nomads in Iran using traditional craftsmanship. The simple motifs and patterns are often inspired by the nomads’ immediate surroundings, including camels, trees and bushes. Lori Baff carpets are made from fine wool from locally kept sheep, which is usually still spun by hand. Each carpet thus embodies the unique character of centuries-old culture and craftsmanship. Traditional production methods and regional inspiration make each carpet a special piece with historical value and aesthetic appeal.
