Description
Loom Lori carpets from India are known for their Gabbeh variants, which are characterised by a rustic, raw aesthetic – “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi. Since the early 1990s, they have been a popular, relaxed alternative to the often formal Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets fascinate with their thick, luxurious pile, vibrant colours and bold geometric patterns, which can be both abstract and figurative, often depicting animals or people. They are usually made of wool, sometimes cotton or other materials. Available in a variety of sizes, from small mats to large rugs, they offer both robustness and artistic appeal and can be flexibly adapted to different interior designs.
