Description
Loom Lori carpets are hand-woven in India on wide looms. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, these rugs have enjoyed increasing popularity as a relaxed, more folksy alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, a wide variety of colours and bold, geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or representational, often depicting animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variations made of cotton or other materials. Gabbeh carpets vary in size from small mats to large rugs and are suitable for any room in the home, creating a cosy and stylish atmosphere.
