Loom Lori carpets are hand-woven in India on wide looms. The term "Gabbeh" means "raw" in Farsi and refers to simple, rustic carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as they offer a more relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh rugs are known for their thick, luxurious pile, wide variety of colours and bold, geometric patterns. These patterns can be abstract or representational, often depicting animals or people. They are mainly made of wool, but occasionally also of cotton or other materials. Sizes vary from small mats to large rugs, so they can be used in any room of the house.
