Description
Loom Lori carpets are hand-woven in India on a wide loom. The term “Gabbeh” means “raw” in Farsi and describes a simple, rustic carpet. Since the early 1990s, these rugs have enjoyed growing popularity as they offer a relaxed, folksy alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbeh rugs are characterised by a thick, luxurious pile, a variety of colours and bold, geometric patterns. The designs can be abstract or representational, often featuring animals or people. Mainly made of wool, there are also variations made of cotton or other materials. Gabbeh rugs are available in a range of sizes, from small mats to large rugs, and fit into any room in the home.
