Description
Loom Lori carpets, hand-woven in India, are made on a wide loom. The term “Gabbeh” comes from Farsi and means “raw”, which refers to the simplicity and rusticity of these carpets. Since the early 1990s, they have enjoyed growing popularity as a relaxed, folk alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbeh carpets are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, variety of colours and bold, geometric patterns, which can be abstract or figurative and often depict animals or people. Mainly made of wool, there are also variants made of cotton or other materials. Sizes range from small mats to large rugs that look great in any room of the house.
