Description
Loom Lori carpets are hand-woven works of art from India, including the popular Gabbeh carpets, named after the Farsi word for “raw”. Since the early 1990s, they have become increasingly popular as a more relaxed alternative to traditional Persian rugs. Gabbehs are characterised by their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colour palettes and bold geometric patterns, either abstract or featuring motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, there are also variations in cotton or other materials. Their size varies from small mats to large rugs, and they fit into any room in the home. These rugs embody craftsmanship and blend charmingly into modern or traditional interior styles, with their rugged beauty and cultural depth reflecting the artistry of their manufacture.
