Description
Loom Lori carpets, hand-woven in India, include the popular Gabbeh carpets, named after the Farsi word for “raw”. Since the early 1990s, they have been gaining popularity as a more relaxed, folk-inspired alternative to traditional Persian carpets. Gabbehs are known for their thick, luxurious pile, diverse colour palette and bold geometric patterns, either abstract or figurative with motifs such as animals or people. Mostly made of wool, occasionally cotton or other materials, they vary in size from small mats to large rugs and fit into any room in the home. These rugs embody craftsmanship and offer a charming addition to modern or traditional interior styles. They exude rugged beauty and cultural depth, and their manufacture reflects a heritage of Indian craftsmanship.
